Most homeowners think about comfort in terms of temperature. Too hot, turn the AC up. Too cold, fire up the heat. But there's a whole other side to home comfort that doesn't get nearly enough attention - the actual quality of the air moving through your system every single day.

Here's what we're talking about: dust, allergens, mold spores, bacteria, and odors cycling through your ductwork and back into your living space. A standard filter catches some of it, but the bigger stuff - the microscopic particles that aggravate allergies and make your home feel stuffy - needs a more complete solution. That's exactly where we come in.

We installed a full indoor air quality package on a Lennox system. That included a REMI HALO whole-home air purification unit integrated directly into the ductwork, a Honeywell UV light system mounted at the air handler, and a fresh MERV 11 media filter. The UV light works around the clock to neutralize biological contaminants right at the source - the coil and air stream - before they ever make it into your living space. The MERV 11 filter handles the particulate side of things, capturing fine dust and allergens that cheaper 1-inch filters just let pass through.

What makes this combination effective is that each component handles a different piece of the problem. The media filter captures particles. The UV light kills what passes through. And the REMI HALO unit actively treats the air throughout the entire home - not just at the return. Together, they work as a system, not just a collection of add-ons.

If you've noticed more dust settling on surfaces, more sneezing, or just air that never quite feels fresh - it's worth looking at what your current setup is actually doing. A better filter or a UV light upgrade can make a real, noticeable difference without a major overhaul.
